Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) invests an additional $650,000 in Quantiam’s CO2-to-Methanol R&D project to advance the technology to TRL4 through to March 31, 2019. Total funding committed by NRCan is $1.15M on a $2.0M total project budget.

On December 15, 2017 Member of Parliament for Edmonton Centre, Randy Boissonnault, on behalf of the Honourable Jim Carr, Canada's Minister of Natural Resources, announced $22 million for seven clean technology projects for the oil and gas as well as the carbon capture, use and storage industries.
Quantiam receives $500,000 grant from Natural Resources Canada under the Clean Energy Innovation (CEI) program for conversion of CO2 to Methanol project.
